The CRS Oral Drug Delivery Focus Group

The CRS Oral Drug Delivery Focus Group offers an exciting Roundtable session on:
"Can one size oral dosage form fit different patient populations?
When: Sunday 11th July between 09.00 – 11.00.

We are looking forward to an interactive session, exchanging ideas amongst like-minded people, coming out with some answers as well as a better path for future oral drug delivery developments. This session will focus on variation in age, sex and ethnicity that may lead to alternation in drug dosing, metabolism, and efficacy. These variations yield important implications for the drug development process. Brief presentations will be given on the key question: Does one size fit all? We will hear from experts about the variation in human physiology and its effects on oral dosage forms. How new technologies may address some of the barriers associated with oral delivery. How dosage form variation and device development can fit into the regulatory agency's guidelines for approval. Then we will have a roundtable discussion to consider and debate these points of views and perspectives.
