Podium and Poster Guidelines

CRS 2006 Podium Guidelines

The following information is provided to assist you in preparation of your podium presentation.

Presentation Time

All presenters must adhere to the published presentation schedule. Presenters are allotted 15 minutes (12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion).

Official Conference Language

English is the official language of the Controlled Release Society. Please remember this is an international meeting, and there will be many in attendance who may have difficulty understanding English and for whom English is not their first language. Please speak slowly and clearly. As the presenter, if your native language is not English please have the transcripts of your presentation edited. If you are not comfortable speaking English, please bring a colleague who may assist with questions and answers from the floor.

Authors and Co-authors

If you are the senior investigator of a paper being presented by a junior scientist, we encourage your presence at the time the paper is presented and please feel free to participate in the discussion.

Session Chair

Please identify yourself to the session chair prior to the session. Session chairs have been asked to keep presentations on schedule and to stimulate discussion periods. Session chairs will not reschedule presentation times, so please do not ask.

Audio-Visual

The only audio-visual presentation option is a single LCD projector. Overhead projectors, slide projectors, and video-enhanced equipment are not allowed. All speakers making an oral presentation are required to check in at the Presentation Preview Room (Hall P) at least 24 hours in advance of their presentations so their presentations can be pre-loaded into the audio-visual network. Presenters are not allowed to use their own laptops.

Hall P, located in the Austria Center, will be available for speaker preparation and presentation preview. LCD projectors will be available for viewing, and a technician will be available. The speaker preparation room schedule is as follows:
