Session Chair Vladimir Torchilin invites you to hear four outstanding students present their award winning abstracts on innovative aspects of oral drug delivery and absorption during this Capsugel/Pfizer Special Session. The Capsugel/Pfizer Special Session's Invited Speakers and their topics are as follows:

  • David Brayden, University College Dublin, Ireland - Peyer's Patch M Cells: Delivery and Targeting Oral Vaccines
  • John Smart, University of Brighton, U.K. - Buccal Drug Delivery
  • Istvan Toth, University of Queensland, Australia - Liposaccharides in Peptide and Gene and Vaccine Delivery
  • At the conclusion of the session, witness Jan Vertommen of Pfizer, Inc., announce the Capsugel/Pfizer Special Session Grand Prize winning student.

Eurand Special Session

Wednesday, July 26
The Eurand Novel Approaches Award is recognized as a premiere industry award and designed to encourage, recognize, and reward innovative approaches in oral drug delivery. During this Eurand Special Session, three Eurand Novel Approaches Honorees, along with the 2006 Eurand Career Achievement in Commercialized Technology of Oral Drug Delivery Award Recipient, will present their research. The Novel Approaches Grand Prize Winner will be selected during the Eurand Special Session and announced by Stephen Perrett of Eurand.
